Ronice Fontenot

Port Barre-A Mass of Christian Burial for Ronice J. Fontenot will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Myrtle Grove Cemetery, with Fr. Dan Picard as the celebrant.

Ronice was a resident at of Port Barre, he died on Wednesday, May 6 2015, at the age of 74. He loved boxing, cooking for his family and friends, drinking coffee at Kings Truck Stop, and watching old cowboy movies.

Survivors include his wife, Elouise Gauthier Fontenot of Port Barre, his children, Timmy Fontenot and his wife, Angela of Opelousas, John "Danny" Fontenot of Port Barre, Jerry Fontenot and his companion, Michelle Vercher of Lawtell, and Tammy Fontenot Bridges and her husband Eddie, of Savannah of TN, brothers, Roges Fontenot of Ville Platte, sisters, Janell Fontenot of Ville Platte, and Debby Deshotel of Pine Prairie, seventeen grandchildren, Jazmine Fontenot is his heart.

Preceded in death by his parents, Inis and Ella Mae Deville Fontenot, daughter, Angela Fontenot Noel, brother, Jerry Fontenot, sisters, Helen and Patty Fontenot.

Visiting hours will be held in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Thursday, May 7, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. with a all night wake until time of service on Friday.

Pallbearers will be Josh Fontenot, Jordan Fontenot, Colby Fontenot, Chris Fontenot, Tony Nezat, Luke Moreau, Cory Bellard, Zack Ballard and Eddie Bridges.
