Lafayette Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Kenneth Schaedel, 64, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2006, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Coteau.
br
Rev. Benny Reppond will officiate the services.
br
Mr. Schaedel was a native of Indianapolis, Indiana and a resident of Lafayette. He died on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at his residence. He was the manager of a local gas station for over 20 years.
br
As a young man, Ronald was a great sports athlete. He lived a fun and interesting life. He was an avid sports fan and collected Elvis Memorabilia.
br
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mrs. Judith Judy Schaedel of Lafayette; one step son, Kelly Cox and wife, Angie of Lafayette; one son, Scott Andrew Schaedel of Lafayette; one step daughter, Lynn Christian Chris Cox Bates and husband, Marty of Tupelo, Mississippi; two daughters: Karen Sue Schaedel of Lafayette; and Cheryl Lee Schaedel Shorey and husband, David of Broussard; one sister, Judy Rackley of Indianapolis, IN; 2 step grandchildren and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Cox, Scott Schaedel, Marty Bates, David Shorey, Shane Hukins and Jason Hukins.

Visiting hours will be observed from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2006 in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau. On Saturday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home, 1473 I-49 N. Service Road, Grand Coteau, and LA 70541.
