Ronald Guillory

Port Barre- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ronald Guillory on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre, the rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. Fr. Clint Trahan will celebrate the Mass. Readers will be Emily Grimmett and John Wyble and Gift Bearers will be Emilia Grimmett and Raven Guillory. Rite of Committal will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Ronald Guillory, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and community member, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2023, at his residence with his loving wife by his side.

Ronald had a deep passion for sports. He found immense pleasure in watching football and baseball games. Whether it was cheering for his favorite teams or discussing the latest game with friends, Ronald's love for sports was infectious. As a member of the Knights of Columbus, he embraced the values of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism that were integral to the organization. One of Ronald's proudest accomplishments was being an unwavering supporter for his grandchildren at their sporting events. He never missed an opportunity to cheer them on from the sidelines or offer words of encouragement when they needed it most. 

Ronald is survived by his wife of 50 years Debbie Wyble Guillory; daughters, Jamie Burdick (Marcus), and Raven Guillory; brothers, Jackie Ray Guillory (Pat), and Ricky Guillory; and his 3 beloved grandchildren, Lexi Guillory, Jackson Burdick, and Maverick Burdick.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Mandy Guillory; and his parents, Jack and Louella Guillory. 

Pallbearers will be Aaron Wyble, Adam Wyble, Ricky Wyble, Gilbert Carroll, John Wyble and Luke Grimmett.

Ronald Guillory will be remembered as a beacon of light in our community, a man who exemplified compassion, kindness, and dedication. His legacy of love and selflessness will endure in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of crossing his path.
