Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Robley Glenn Rachal, age 60, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Rev. Perry Hubbs will conduct the services.

Mr. Glenn was born and raised in Marksville and was a long time resident of Opelousas. He passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Lafayette General Medical Center. He was a U. S. Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp.

He worked in the oilfield for many years as a supervisor and consultant. He really enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid fisherman and sports fan. His greatest pastime was watching LSU sports especially football. He was a devoted husband and a loving father, paw paw, brother, and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 38 years, Ann Rachal of Opelousas; his parents: Havard and Marjorie Vidrine Rachal of Hessmer; two daughters: Chantel Rachal of Broussard; and Candice Wilson and husband, Jeremy of Opelousas; one brother, Kenneth Rachal of Hessmer; and one granddaughter, Sydni Claire Wilson of Opelousas.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Wednesday, visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

A Prayer service will be held on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
