Grand Coteau Funeral services for Robert J. Shahan, age 82, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011. In the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Coteau.
Rev. Benny Reppond will conduct the service.
Bob was a native of Wewoka, Oklahoma, and was a longtime resident of Sunset, he died on Wednesday March 16, 2011 at Opelousas General Health System.
Bob spent most of his life on the carnival and is now on that big show in the sky.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Kazer Wells Shahan of Sunset, two daughters Mazella Flournoy and husband, Michael of Abbeville, La, Terry Shahan, of Sunset, one brother Charles Shahan of Oklahoma, three sisters Ruth Shahan , Susie Batt , and Alice Coley all of Oklahoma, four grandchildren Bobby, Candy, Kizzy, and Joe, and two great grandchildren Joey and Kiki.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Theresa Cross Shahan, and his granddaughter Niki Lynn Gannard.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Saturday, March 19, 2011, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.
