Robert Floyd Naquin, Sr.

Melville Funeral services for Mr. Robert Floyd Naquin, Sr., age 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2010, in the First Pentecostal Church of Melville. Interment will follow in the First Pentecostal Cemetery, Melville, La.

Pastor Samuel Ham and Pastor Ray Majors will conduct the service.

Mr. Naquin was a born in Woodside, La. and was a longtime resident of Melville, La. He died on Friday, August 27, 2010, at TriCommunity Nursing Home in Palmetto, La.

Mr. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved spending time in the outdoors. He was a member of the National Rifleman Association and the Ironworkers Local 623 out of Baton Rouge. Mr. Robert was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and is going to be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Naquin, Melville, La. sons, Robert F. Naquin, Jr. and wife Wanda, Dupont, La., Lawrence W. Naquin and wife Rose Mary, Melville, Richard G. Naquin, Melville daughters, Myrtis Ann Thibodeaux and husband Farriel, Krotz Springs, Betty Benoit, Krotz Springs one full brother and eight half brothers, three full sister and one half sister 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Saphia Saucier Naquin.

Visiting hours will be observed in the First Pentecostal Church Hall on Sunday, August 29, 2010, from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. On Monday, visitation will continue in the Church Hall from 8:00 a.m. until service time
