Grand Coteau Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Henry, age 87, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau. Father James Lambert will officiate the Mass.
Robert was a current resident of Church Point, LA, but formerly of Lake Charles. He died on Saturday, October 12, 2010, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Knights of Peter Clever of Sacred Heart Church Parish in Lake Charles and AAA Coordinator in Lake Charles.
Survivors are his sister, Sister Marie George Henry brothers, Deacon Samuel P. Mary Henry Edgar Henry and Howard Irene Henry daughter, Mary Catherine Joseph, Sr. Russell two grandsons, Joseph Russell, Jr. and Simien Russell and sisterinlaw, Myrtle Henry.
Preceded in death by his wife, Arthurine Walker Henry parents, Edgar and Pearl Pollingue Henry sisters, Sister Mary Pascal Henry Willa Mae Auguste, and Ida Henry brothers, George Henry, Frank Henry, Francis Henry, and Lawrence Henry.
Pallbearers will be Leo Paul Henry, Alvin Ray Henry, Francis Xavier Henry, Willie Smith, Sr., Vincent Henry, and Michael Green.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Friday, October 15, 2010, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the Funeral Home.
