Robert Lee Hardy, Jr.
Port Barre Funeral services for Mr. Robert Lee Hardy, Jr., 44, will be held at 10 a. m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2006, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial and burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Father Nicky Trahan will conduct the services. The Reader for the service will be Dr. Paula Sharkey.
Mr. Hardy, a resident of Port Barre, died at 10:23 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2006, at his residence.
He was a past graduate of Port Barre High School and was currently employed with F. C. I. as a computer draftsman for over 7 years of service. He loved being outdoors, enjoyed camping in the woods, and was an avid hunter. He enjoyed spending time with his children. He was a devoted and loving father, son, and brother. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus.
Survivors include: his mother, Mrs. Marlene Saizon Hardy; one son, Robert L. Hardy III; two daughters: Megan Hardy and Desiree Hardy; one step daughter, Lauren Dean; one brother, Kevin Joseph Hardy; two sisters: Denise L. Hardy; and Katrina Jennings and husband, Ralph Jennings, Jr.; one niece, Sheena Jennings; one nephew, Kurt Jennings; and one great niece, Gabrielle Biba; all of Port Barre. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Mr. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Hardy; paternal grandparents: Lennie and Lucille Grimette Hardy; and maternal grandparents: Henry and Beatrice Milligan Saizon.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Hardy, Sammy Wayne Hardy II, Ralph Jennings, Jr., Kurt Jennings, Dick Jeffries, and Charles Markwalter.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre from 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2006, with an all night wake until the time of services on Wednesday.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.
