Ville Platte Memorial Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte, LA, for Mr. Robert Lee Ardoin. Rite of Committal will take place at a later date.

Mr. Ardoin was born on January 22, 1954 in Ville Platte and passed away at his residence on May 8, 2012. Mr. Ardoin spent his entire life in the Ville Platte area. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Robert was a very loving husband, father, brother and soninlaw. Robert loved to work in his garden and then canning and preserving the fruits of the labor he enjoyed going fishing, cooking and spending time with family and watching the children playing and having fun. Mr. Robert is going to be sadly missed by family and friends and his dog Raven.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sharon Ardoin of Ville Platte son, Kyle Ardoin of Lake Charles daughter, Kim Ardoin of Lafayette Brother, Phillip Ardoin and companion Mona Vidrine of Ville Platte motherinlaw, Maxie Granny Martin.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Verna Mae Barker Ardoin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 10 AM time of service in the Ardoin Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
