Ricky James Guidroz, born on December 17, 1958, in Arnaudville, LA, peacefully passed away at his residence in Sunset, LA. He was a cherished individual who touched the lives of many.

Ricky was known for his various passions and interests which brought him immense joy throughout his life. He found solace in the great outdoors through camping, hunting, and fishing. His altruistic nature shone bright as he dedicated himself to helping others in any way he could. Ricky's culinary skills were unmatched, and he found pleasure in cooking delicious meals for his loved ones. A true free spirit, he enjoyed dancing, and quality time with family. He had a thrill for riding motorcycles and he was also a part of the Iron Order MC.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lillian Dodge Guidroz; sons, Jed Guidroz and Spencer Taylor and wife Courtney; sisters, Lisa Guidroz (David) and Lydia Guidry (Joseph); 3 grandchildren, Austin Richardson, Lathan Vaughn and Wells Taylor; 1 great-grandchild, Anaya Richardson; brother in-laws; Aaron Dodge (Janet) and Tim Dodge and his companion, Darren; sister in-laws, Annette Dodge (Joe), Andrea Istre (Kenny), Angela Holstead (Billy) and Effie Robin; a host of nieces and nephews; and the best of friends who were like family, Bob & Joan Provnzano.

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Edmond Guidroz Sr. & Elizabeth Taylor Guidroz; son, Justice Guidroz; brothers, Larry Guidroz and Edmond Guidroz Jr.; mother and father in-law, Sylvia Marie Sibille Dodge & Harold Aaron Dodge Sr.; brother in-law, Walter Dodge; and sister in-law, Maria Dodge Munoz.

Family and friends of Ricky James Guidroz will gather to remember and celebrate his life at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, LA. The visitation will take place on April 27, 2024, starting at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass at 10:30 AM. The final farewell will be at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery with the burial ceremony beginning at 11:30 AM.

In this time of mourning, let us remember Ricky for the warmth and light he brought into the lives of those around him. May his adventurous spirit and kind heart live on in the memories shared by all who knew him.
