Ricky Barron

Port Barre -A Funeral Service for, Ricky Barron, will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 31, 2017, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Reverend Daniel Picard will conduct the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Ricky, a resident of Port Barre, died on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at his residence with his loving family at the age of 54. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. Ricky loved cooking and working in his garden. But most of all he cherished time spent visiting with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ricky is survived by his brothers, Rapheal Barron (Gwen) and Johnny Miller both of Port Barre; his sister, Annette Hardy (Danny) of Port Barre; his nieces, Angenique B. LeBlanc (Louis) of Port Barre, Alyssa Barron of Lafayette, Courtney Hardy of Port Barre and Olivia Barron of Port Barre; his nephew, Colby Hardy of Port Barre; his great nieces and nephews, Hunter, Dominic and Natalie LeBlanc, Holden Stelly and Mia Hebert and his special companion, Carol "Tootsie" Diaville of Port Barre.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Lorena Richard Barron; his brother, Nathan Richard; his maternal grandparents, Hugo and Elodie Richard and paternal grandparents, Marshall and Mathilda Barron.

The family request visitation be held on Friday, March 30, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until (all night) time of service on Saturday in the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. A Rosary Service will be prayed by Reverend Daniel Picard at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to DCI Dialysis Center where Ricky was a patient for 12 years; the family is forever grateful to his DCI Angels who took such great care of him.
