Rickey Ortego

OPELOUSAS- A Private Funeral Service will be held for Rickey Ortego. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. A private burial will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Rickey, age 66, a native of Opelousas and resident of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson, LA.

Rickey served his country proudly in the United States Marines during Vietnam. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sisters, Denise Ingram and husband, Allen of Lafayette and Cynthia Thomasee of Houma; brothers, Warren Ortego and wife, Judy of Houma and Tracey Ortego and wife, Annette of Opelousas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Velma Doucet Ortego; and sister, Norma Sharp.
