Melville- A funeral service will be held for Richard Lester Satterley on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the United Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge. Pastor Bob Fruen and Rev. Samuel Ham will officiate the service. Rite of Committal will follow at Satterley Family Cemetery in Melville.

Richard, age 89, a resident of Melville, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his home in Melville.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dora Mae Boudreaux Satterley of Melville, his children, Dennis Satterley (April) of Melville, Pamela Marie Page (James) of Downsville, LA, Genell Ragsdale (Russell) of Winnsboro, LA., and Karen Satterley of Melville. Ten grandchildren, Derek Page (Katie), Heath Page (Toni), Rusty Ragsdale (Jamie), Amy Ragsdale Davis  (Josh), Violet Ragsdale Temple (Bob), Victoria Ragsdale, Jason Satterley (Laurie), and Jed Satterley and fiancé, Rebekah Bauer. Ten great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Wilma Satterley, brother, Charles Ray Satterley, grandsons, Randy Lee Satterley and Terrell Lester Satterley.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Bayou Rouge Pentecostal Church, and will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 until time of service in the church.
