Richard Lacombe, Jr.

Opelousas, LARichard Joseph LaCombe Jr., 62, born December 29,1949, took our Lords hand and walked along his side on June 3, 2012, in Berlin Vermont surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was very passionate about his job at WalMart where he worked in the Maintenance field for the last 11 years with his most recent achievement being an award for 10 years of outstanding service and leadership. Previous Maintenance jobs include Prompt Succor and Senior Village Nursing Homes, where he specialized in stripping and waxing floors. He was a hard worker all his life and never complained about anything.
In his spare time, he was very active in the Our Lady of Mercy Knights of Columbus Council 3409 being a former Grand Knight, and also a Fourth Degree Member of the Bishop Jeanmard Assembly. He also attended Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church where he served as an usher.
He retired from WalMart on March 31st 2012 due to deteriorating health and spent the rest of his days in Worcester VT with his eldest son, daughterinlaw, and his two grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his father, Richard J. LaCombe, Sr. and mother, Isabelle B. LaCombe.
He leaves behind two sons, Richard J. Lacombe III Jessie E Lacombe and their two children, Lillian Ilene Lacombe and Jackson Wayne Lacombe of Worcester, VT David Lacombe of Lafayette, LA and a sister, Elizabeth A. Meche Bret Meche and their six children, Chris, Emily, Aaron, Kellie, Laura, and Alyssa of Opelousas.
A Rosary will be held at Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA at 10 am on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, with a Memorial Service at 12 pm with Father Angelo Cremaldi officiating the services in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside service will be held at 3pm at Saint Marys Cemetery in Cottonport, LA.
The Funeral Home will be open on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, from 9am till the service is over around 1pm. Friends and family are all invited to visit with each other and celebrate the life of our beloved Richard at this time.
