Port Barre-Funeral services for "Tootie" Richard Wayne Guidry will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016, in the First Baptist Church in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre. Rev. Benji Richard will officiate the services.
Tootie was a native of Port Barre and was a resident of Arnaudville. He passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette at the age of 56. He was a commercial fisherman for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His Monday nights were dedicated to watching Monday Night Raw Wrestling. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his fiancé, J'Londa Comeaux of Arnaudville; sons, Brad Guidry of Port Barre; Brock Guidry and wife, Ashley of Leonville; Brent Guidry and wife, Lindzey of Arnaudville; step-son, Kade Taylor of Arnaudville; daughters, Abbey Guidry and Lillie Guidry, both of Florida; step-daughter, Crissinda Comeaux of Lafayette; brother, James Ray Guidry and wife, Tina of Port Barre; sister, Melissa Cook and husband, Guy of Tatum, TX; and five grandchildren, Brent Michael Guidry, Adam Guidry, Adrianna Guidry, Riley Guidry, and Ally Guidry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Guidry, Jr. and Lillie Ann Aymond Guidry.
Pallbearers will be Brent Guidry, Brock Guidry, Brad Guidry, James Ray Guidry, Kade Taylor and Jai Courville.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with an all night wake until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre.
