Rena Albrecht

Port Barre Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, for Rena Godet Albrecht . Father Daniel Picard will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Rena was a life long resident of Port Barre. She passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at her daughter home in Lafayette, at the age of 91.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, and playing cards with her friends. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children Frank Albrecht, Jr. and his wife, Laura of Port Barre, Darlene Aymond and her husband, Donald of Lafayette, and Dorthy Doiron and her husband, Charlie Port Allen, nine grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Albrecht, Sr. and her parents, Stanislaus and Louise Godet.

A special thanks to La. Hospice and Palliative Care of Opelousas and Dr. Stacey Mayeaux.

Visiting hours will be observed on Friday, November 30, 2012, from 1:00 pm until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday morning at 8 am until 10:30 am.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
