Rebecca Becky Jagneaux Hantz

Opelousas A Memorial Mass for Ms. Rebecca Becky Jagneaux Hantz, age 56, will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2008, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Msgr. Jeff DeBlanc will conduct the Mass.

Ms. Becky was a native and long-time resident of Church Point, and was currently residing in Opelousas. She passed away at 10:25 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2008, at University Medical Center in Lafayette.

Ms. Becky was a Surgical Tech at Doctor's Hospital in the OB Department for over 12 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved to listen to music, attend concerts, reading, and she really enjoyed spending time with her grandson. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughter, Amy Elizabeth Hantz of Church Point; and one grandson, Hayden Paul Hantz of Eunice.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Astave and Amy Courville Jagneaux.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, September 12, 2008, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.

A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.
