Ray Allen Castille,Sr.

Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Ray Allen Castille, Sr., age 75, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2008, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park of Opelousas. Rev. Perry Hubbs will conduct the service.

Mr. Castille was born in Opelousas and spent his life here. He passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008 at the Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge at 2:05 p.m.

Mr. Ray was an avid sports watcher on T.V. and enjoyed listening to music. He is going to be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his son; Scotty Castille and wife Tammy, Fort Worth, Tx.; daughters; Melissa Baham, Opelousas, Sandra Darby and husband Jim, Opelousas; brothers; Nelson Castille, Opelousas, John Castille, Jr., Vinton, La.; sister; Rita Jeffers, Port Barre; 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; John and Marie Gerdie Ortego Castille, Sr.; son, Ray Allen Castille, Jr. daughter, Peggy Castille Vidrine and sisters, Amy Castille, Helena Sonnier.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, August 30, 2008, from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. On Sunday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
