Radene Legg

Port Barre- Funeral services for Mrs. Radene Legg will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, LA.

Radene was a native of Ashland, Kentucky, and a resident of Port Barre. She passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Opelousas General Health System, at the age of 70. She was the past owner of Feather Valley Pet Store and had previously worked as a cosmetologist. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, painting, and shopping. She loved her roses and her family.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Franklin D. Legg of Port Barre; one son, Frank Legg II and wife, Cora Sue Legg of Port Barre; one daughter, Angela Schwiuntek and husband, Michael of Fenton, Mi.; grandchildren, Aaron Legg and wife, Kim; Heather Legg, Tiphanie Legg and husband, Kyle Savoy; Alicia LeMaire and husband, Nick; Rhianna Mannix and husband, Dustin Bouberette; and Deven Mannix; and 8.5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren K. Robinson and Goldie Gallian Robinson; brothers, Warren Robinson, Fred Robinson and Gene Robinson; and sisters, Hazel Robinson, Ethel Craft, Nancy Norton, and Edna Evans.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Legg, Deven Mannix, Michael Schwiuntek, Kyle Savoy, Tim Strickland, and Nicholas LeMaire. Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Savoy, Riley Holman, Aristotle Legg, and Jayce Savoy.
