LAFAYETTE- A Requiem Mass will be held for Racheal Meche Graham at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at Christ the King Church in Lafayette. Fr. Francis Miller, OFM will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.
Racheal, age 40, a resident of Opelousas, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Racheal was a graduate at the University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration. She will be remembered for her selflessness and the way she cherished her family especially her children. Racheal's life revolved around her family, she was an amazing mother, loving wife, great sister and a wonderful daughter. She loved the 1940’s and 50’s era and she enjoyed listening to music. Racheal was a romantic at heart and by the end of her life she found her one true romance. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.
Racheal is survived by her husband, Blain Graham of Opelousas; parents, Gary and Patricia Meche of Opelousas; son, Robert Anthony Pride of Opelousas/Lafayette; daughters, Samantha Mary Pride of Opelousas/Lafayette and Shelby Ashlynn Graham of Opelousas; step-daughters, Reece Channa Graham, Saelis Matai Graham and Nova Aili Graham, all of Silverton, OR; brothers, Scott Meche and wife, Lennie and Justin Meche and wife, Amanda, both of Opelousas; sisters, Christine McAndrew and husband, Ryan of Gulfbreeze, FL and Candice Sweat and husband, Josh of Youngsville; and maternal grandfather, Carrace Hollier.
Racheal is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Emile Meche and Verdine Soileau Meche; and maternal grandmother, Gladys Fontenot Hollier.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The rosary service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. by Fr. Francis Miller, OFM. The funeral home will reopen from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.
Pallbearers will be Scott Meche, Chase Meche, Cameron Meche, Josh Sweat, Justin Meche and Ryan McAndrew.
