Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Quentin R. Joubert, 77, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Landry Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum. Msgr. Romero will celebrate the Mass.

Mr. Joubert was a native of Plaisance and a resident of Opelousas. He died at 1:30 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2007, in the Opelousas General Health System.

He was a U. S. Navy Veteran who proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. He also was retired from the St. Landry Parish School Board with over 28 years of service as a Projection SpecialistPrinter. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 209 of Washington, the Knights of Columbus Council 3409, and the Bayou Rouge Hunting Club. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Jessie Reed Joubert of Opelousas; one daughter, Glenda C. Dunn of Opelousas; one brother, Shirley Joubert, Jr. of Opelousas; and two grandchildren: Dusty Wade Bellard and Kenneth Lane Bellard, Jr., both of Opelousas.

He was preceded in death by his parents: James Shirley Joubert, Sr. and Allie Charles Joubert; and one brother, James Lionel Joubert.

Pallbearers will be James D. Hollier, Richard Hollier III, Andrew Miller, Chris Daigle, Rodney Tweedel, Blake Charles, and Donald St. Amand.

Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, from 5-9 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Thursday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.
