Penelope "Penny" Foret

OPELOUSAS- A Memorial Service will be held for Penelope Foret on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 3:15 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Deacon Jerome Collins will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service; with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA.

Penelope Foret, a loving family member and dedicated legal secretary, passed away on September 26, 2024, at the Acadia St. Landry Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility. Born on July 3, 1946, in Sunset, Louisiana, Penelope lived a life marked by her passion for her career in law and an unwavering devotion to her family.

Throughout her professional journey as a legal secretary, Penelope made significant contributions, characterized by her diligence and commitment to excellence. Her work was not only an essential part of her life but also a reflection of her strong work ethic and integrity.

Penelope’s vibrant spirit and nurturing nature were evident through her deep love for her family. She is survived by her brothers, Skipper Foret of Church Point and Randy Foret of Clinton, LA, as well as her sisters, Cheryl Foret of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Catherine Claire Brown of Church Point. The joys of her life also included her cherished nieces, Jessica Dwight of Moss Bluff and Tiffani Arceneaux of Church Point, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

Penelope was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph Clarence and Joyce Foret, as well as her brothers, Timothy Foret and Bruce Francis Foret. Their memories remain integral to the lives of those she left behind.

As we remember Penelope, let us celebrate her legacy of love, dedication, and the enduring bonds she forged throughout her life. Her gentle spirit will be missed deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
