Peggy Jane Castille Vidrine

Opelousas Funeral services for Peggy Jane Castille Vidrine, 53, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2006, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park.

Rev. John Pitre will conduct the services.

Mrs. Vidrine, a resident of Opelousas, died at 8:35 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. She was a very Christian woman and enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed reading books, especially the Bible and writing. She loved being outdoors and camping. Her favorite pastime was worshiping her Godly Father and spending time with her family, cooking, baking, and praying for everyone. She was a Member of the First Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

Survivors include: her husband, James Autry Vidrine of Opelousas; two sons: Hank Allen Moran and wife, Constance Connie of Opelousas; and Robert Clay Moran of Opelousas; one daughter, Daisy Lenae Moran of Opelousas; her mother, Wordna Guillory Castille of Opelousas; her father, Ray Allen Castille, Sr. of Opelousas; one step-daughter, Bonnie Gail Vidrine Bourque and husband, Timmy of Leonville; one brother, Scotty James Castille and wife, Tami of Ft. Worth, TX; two sisters: Sandra Castille Darby and husband, Jim of Opelousas; and Melissa Castille Baham and husband, Keith of Opelousas; four grandchildren: Hank Allen Darby of Opelousas; Dylan Claude Moran of Krotz Springs; Gabrielle Mae Moran of Opelousas; and Ivan Drake Moran of Opelousas; three step-grandchildren: Brice Daniel Bourque, Brittany Nicole Bourque, and Lance James Bourque, all of Leonville.

Mrs. Vidrine was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Allen Castille, Jr.; Paternal Grandparents, John and Gertie Ortego Castille; Maternal Grandparents, Azie and Sidonia Guillory; Father-in-law, James D. Vidrine; and Mother-in-law, Leola Vasseur.

Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the family and 10 a..m. to 10 p.m. for the public in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas; on Friday, visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help defer the cost of funeral expenses.
