Pearl Savoy Darbonne

Opelousas- Funeral Services for Pearl Savoy Darbonne, age 94, will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Interment will follow in the St. Bridgets Cemetery in Lawtell.

Pearl was a long time resident of Plaisance LA. She died on November 30, 2009, at Patterson Health Care Center, in Patterson, LA. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her three sons: Delvin Darbonne and wife Gladys of Lafayette, Wesley Darbonne Jr. and wife Diane of French Settlement, LA. and John Teddy Darbonne, of Clinton, LA, two daughters: Linda Darbonne of Patterson, LA and Parol Guillory of Baton Rouge, one brother: Ben Savoie of Baton Rouge, and eight grandchildren and nine great grand-children.

Preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Darbonne, Sr., her parents: Joe and Martha Lavergne Savoy, Sr. her brothers; Gary Savoy, Rufus Savoy, Curley Savoy and Joe Savoy, Jr. her sisters: Amanda LeJeune, Gersie Kluppelberg, and Priscilla LeJeune.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

A rosary service will be 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
