Paul Theriot

Port Barre- Funeral services for Mr. Paul James Theriot, known to many of his friends as "TYO" will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre. Dr. Wanda Rousse, Senior Pastor of Faith Cathedral in New Iberia, LA, will officiate the services.
Paul was a native of Church Point and a resident of Opelousas. He died on Monday, April 27, 2015, at Opelousas General Health System at the age of 53. He was a truck driver for many years and the owner and operator of P. J. Theriot Trucking, LLC. He was a member of Faith Cathedral Church in New Iberia. He enjoyed getting together with friends and family. He was a very loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Agnes Soileau Theriot of Opelousas; his parents, Robert and Juanita Theriot of Port Barre; daughter, Crystal Theriot Landry and husband, Jacob of Scott; brothers, Michael Vidrine and wife, Donna of Arnaudville; and Steve Theriot and wife, Nicole of Grand Prairie; sister, Cindy Reed and husband, Gordy of Krotz Springs; and three grandchildren, Ryker, Reese, and Remy Paul Landry of Scott.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and one sister, Maxine Vidrine.
Pallbearers will be Steve Theriot, Jacob Landry, Nicholas Theriot, Gordy Reed, John Dupuis, and Cody Reed.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
