Paul Guilbeaux

Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial for Paul Moise Guilbeaux will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, May 15, 2015, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Msgr. Keith J. DeRouen will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.
The family of Paul announces his death on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas, at the age of 88. Paul loved to play the harmonic and ride bikes.
He will be greatly missed by his, children, Scott Lindsey of Arnaudville, Paul Guilbeaux, Jr. of Ville Platte, Linda Mathews and her husband, Billy of Gonzales, Elizabeth Guilbeaux and her partner, Patrick Sonnier, of Broussard, and Theresa Guilbeaux of Hot Springs, Arkansas, brother, Burton Guilbeaux of Crowley, sisters, Ruby Matlock of Church Point, and Laura Thibodeaux of Lewisburg, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his, wife, Shirley Lyons Guilbeaux, his parents, two grandsons, one brother and one sister.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, May 14, 2015, from 3:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary service will be held on Thursday evening in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 p.m.
