Patti C. Nguyen

Patti Lane Charles Nguyen , September 8th 1959 – January 20th 2024. 64 years old, a Port Barre native and a PBHS class of 75 graduate, passed away Saturday morning at Oschner Hospital in Plaquemine, La. She was the daughter of Alice and Jimmy Charles, both of Port Barre. Patti has two siblings, Ricky Charles and Lisa Charles Grimmett. Patti was the mother of two children, Heather Lessing and Ryan Nguyen. She was a grandmother to Heather’s two children, Landon Michael and Skylar Grace. Patti spent most of her adult life living in Port Allen next to her loving grandparents, Lois and Herbert Harmon. The biggest pride and joy of her life was her two precious grandchildren, Landon and Skylar. Patti was a compassionate animal lover and a huge fan of Elvis Presley. Patti lived a very quiet life at her home with her adult son. She fought a long-term battle with RA and had numerous complications due to her disease; however, Patti rarely complained and was always more concerned about how everyone else was doing. Per her request, there will be no formal services or gathering as well as no picture to be posted. Please remember Patti as you last saw her or spoke with her. The family simply ask for continued prayers and to keep your fondest memories of Patti alive. Thank you all in advance for your prayers, compassion and grace.
