Patricia Marie Hanson Sylvester

Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Marie Hanson Sylvester, 74, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA.

Father Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the Mass.

Mrs. Sylvester was a native of New Orleans, LA, a past resident of Elm Grove, LA, and was currently residing in Conroe, TX. She died at 11:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2007, at Conroe Regional Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Mrs. Sylvester enjoyed sewing and spending time with the family.

Survivors include two sons: John Ellis Sylvester, Jr. and wife, Lois of Winona, MS; and Lynn Douglas Sylvester and wife, Michelle of Highland, TX; two daughters: Cynthia Marie Echols and husband, Dan of Round Rock, TX; and Shirley Ann Hazel and husband, Richard of Conroe, TX; one brother, Clyde Hanson of Kenner, LA; two sisters: Peggy Hanson of Hammond, LA; and Jeanette Marallo of New Orleans, LA; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mrs. Sylvester was preceded in death by her husband Mr. John E. Sylvester, Sr.; parents, Raymond Hanson and Frances Rodi Hanson.

Visiting hours will be observed from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Friday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.
