Patricia Pat Farrell Parsons
Opelousas, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Pat Farrell Parsons, 72, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2006, in the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany and burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rev. Pete Smith will conduct the services and music will be provided by the Episcopal Church Choir.
Mrs. Parsons, a resident of Opelousas, La, died at 3:45 p.m., on Friday, December 15, 2006 at Doctor's Hospital in Opelousas, LA.
Mrs. Pat was active in the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Opelousas. She was a Choir member, a member of the Vestry, Delegate of the Episcopal Diocese Convention, a member and President of the Episcopal Church Women's Altar Guild, Church Volunteer for the dcorating committee and the food committee. She was very instrumental in planning and executing the Cursillo Movement in the diocese community.
Mrs. Pat enjoyed golfing and was a member and past president of the Lady's Golf Association, chaired the Susan G. Komen Golf Tournament for several times; and Past Board Member of the Indian Hills Country Club.
Survivors include daughters: Cynthia Heying and husband, The Rev. Chris Heying of Lynchburg, VA; Catherine Perkins of Lafayette; and Debbi Smith and husband, Gary of Andulasia, AL; sons: Chris Perkins of New Orleans; Donald T. Parsons and wife, Kathy of Alabaster, AL; Aaron Parsons, Jr. and wife, Kris of Birmingham, AL; and Steven Parson of Birmingham, AL; her mother, Mrs. Eula Elliot of Florence, KY; one sister, Vickie Hudson and husband, Donny of KY; and one brother, Ronnie Ferrell of KY.
Mrs. Parsons is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Sarah Perkins, Mary Grace Heying, John Luke Heying, Laura Parsons, Anna Katherine Parsons, Taylor Parsons, Megan Parsons, Ashley Smith, Kalli Smith, and Carrie Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmen Aaron Parsons; one brother, Danny Crane; and father, Guy Farrell.
Visiting hours will be observed on Tuesday, December 19 from 11:00AM until the service at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Opelousas, LA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Episcopal Church in memory of Mrs. Parsons.
