Opelousas -Funeral services for Patricia Ann Spears DeJean will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Perry Hubbs will officiate the services.

Patricia was born in Rose City, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Opelousas. She passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at her home at the age of 76. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved gardening, camping, and tending to her animals. She was a wonderful wife, and a caring mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include two sons, George DeJean and wife, Terresa of Bartlesville, OK; and Larry DeJean and wife, Claire of Opelousas; one brother, Warren Allen Spears, Jr. and wife, Bernadette of Thibodaux; one sister, Bobby Jean Spears Hillman and husband, James of Memphis, TN; five grandchildren, Emily DeJean Yongue, Christopher DeJean, Jacob DeJean, Laurel DeJean, and Tyler DeJean; and one great-grandchild, Emilee Yongue.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold DeJean; and her parents, Warren Allen Spears and Elaine Nettie Mary Young Spears.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Wednesday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Jacob DeJean, Christopher DeJean, Warren Spears, George DeJean, and Larry DeJean.
