Patricia Ann Brown

Opelousas-- Funeral services will be held for Patricia Ann Brown on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Opelousas, Pastor Marcus Lazard will officiate the service. Visitation will be held in the church from, 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the St. Landry Cemetery in Opelousas.

Patricia, a loving and devoted member of her family, passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on April 26, 1969, Patricia touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and unwavering love for those around her.

Throughout her life, Patricia exemplified the qualities of a dedicated wife and nurturing mother. She cherished her role as a beloved partner to her husband, Christopher Brown, Sr., with whom she shared 29 years of marriage in Opelousas. Together, they built a loving home that fostered the growth and happiness of their children, Jamacos Johnson, Christopher Stevens of Opelousas, Christopher Brown, Jr., Chance Brown, and Ta'Mara Brown, all of Opelousas. Patricia's devotion to her family was evident in everything she did, and her legacy will live on through the hearts of her children.

Patricia was also a sister, connecting deeply with her brothers and sisters, who include Nathaniel Johnson, Jr. of Opelousas, David Johnson of Baton Rouge, and sisters Shelia White (Starrel) of Opelousas, Sheryl Johnson of Opelousas, and Nicole Villery of Opelousas. Her familial bonds were strong, and she treasured the time spent with her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel, Sr., and Eula Johnson, as well as her son, Jordan Brown. Their absence leaves a profound void in the family, but Patricia's love and memory will always remain a source of strength for those who knew her.

As the family mourns this tremendous loss, they reflect upon the joy and laughter Patricia brought into their lives. She will be remembered not only for her kindness and compassion but also for the warmth she radiated, which made everyone feel welcome in her presence. Patricia Ann Brown will be dearly missed but her spirit will live on in the cherished memories held by her family and friends.
