Patricia Pat Artigue

Port Barre Mass of Christian Burial Services for Mrs. Patricia Pat Artigue age 68, will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 12:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Reverend Father Daniel Picard will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.

Ms. Pat passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System. She was born in Leonville and was a long time resident of Port Barre. Ms. Pat was Owner of Artigues Grocery and coowner with her husband Clarence of Artigue Tractor and Farm Equipment. She also served as the Justice of the Peace in District 6 Ward 4 for 23 years. Ms. Pat loved people and had many friends she especially cared and loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them fishing and at the family outings. She was very Civic minded and spent a lot of time helping others in their time of need. She is going to be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Ms. Pat is survived by her husband, Clarence Artigue of Port Barre son Kevin Bazar and companion Janine of Shreveport, Jason Macip and wife Heather of Port Barre stepson Mark Artigue and wife Linda of Baytown, TX, daughter, Missy Bazar Wyble and husband George of Port Barre, Chrisey Metrejean and husband Raymond of Krotz Springs stepdaughter, Rhonda Artigue and companion Marcus Okeson of Opelousas, brother, Michael Myers and wife Brenda of Port Barre sisters, Barbara Leblanc and husband Connie of Arnaudville, Glenda Myers of Grand Prairie nine grandchildren ten great grandchildren and a special aunt Joyce Trahan of Port Barre.

Ms. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Velma Arnaud Myers.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Bazar, Dusty Bazar, Jason Macip, Raymond Metrejean, Dustin Metrejean and Mark Artigue honorary pallbearer will be Kyle Bazar.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. and remain open until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Saturday. A Rosary Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
