Opelousas Funeral services for Olive Rita LeJeune, age 63, will held on Sunday, August 28, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. in the St. Landry Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Landry Cemetery.
Deacon Sammy Diesi will recite the service.
She was a native of and a long time resident of Washington, LA. She died on Friday, August 26, 2011, at her home.
Rita enjoyed spiritual music she was very out going and lived life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by her family and dear friends.
Survivors include her brothers Ray LeJeune of Spring Texas, and David LeJenue of Port Barre, her sisters Ruby Barrow of Sunset, Emmalene Meguet of Henderson, and Diane Moore, of Abita Springs, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eveins and Mary Doucet LeJeune, and her brother, Wylan LeJeune.
The family would like to send a very special Thanks to her care givers Marjorie, Pat, Kendra, Corinne, and Rosezena. Rita loved them very much.
The family requested that the visitation began on Saturday evening at 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm and will reopen on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.
A rosary service will be recite by Fr. Albert Nunez on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m.
