Olide Vidrine, Jr.
Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Olide Vidrine, Jr., known to many as Junior, will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2006, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Perry Hubbs will conduct the services.
Mr. Vidrine, age 58, was a resident of Opelousas and died at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2006, at his residence.
He was a truck driver for many years. He was currently working for the St. Landry Parish Government as an equipment operator. He was a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He was extremely generous in helping people. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Marie Prudhomme Vidrine of Opelousas; two sons: Neal Vidrine of Lafayette; and Bryan Charles Vidrine and wife, Nicole of Ville Platte; two daughters: Lora V. Nobles and husband, Dwayne of New Roads; and Missy V. Tezano and husband, Eldridge of Opelousas; five brothers: Evered Vidrine and wife, Dot of Eunice; Edward Vidrine and wife, Elaine of Opelousas; Allen Vidrine and wife, Pauline of Washington; Larry Vidrine and wife, Diane of Bayou Chicot; and Curry Vidrine of Opelousas; four sisters: Jane Soileau and husband, Nathan of Bayou Chicot; Mary Hartszfelds and husband, Tom of Ville Platte; Ida Carrier and husband, Wilson of Broussard; and Anna Thibodeaux and husband, Francis of Krotz Springs; 9 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren.
Mr. Vidrine was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Olide Vidrine, Sr. and Mrs. Hilda Dore Vidrine; and two brothers: Murry and Tommy Vidrine.
Visiting hours will be observed from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2006, in the Sibille Funeral Home with the funeral services following.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
