Norma Guillory

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Norma Jean Quebedeaux Guillory. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA. Rev. Father Paul Bienvenu will celebrate the Mass.

Norma was born in Port Barre, LA. She was a previous resident of Houma and was currently residing in Washington for the past 24 years. She passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at her home after battling cancer at the age of 71. She was retired from Olindes Furniture Store of Opelousas with over 20 years of service. She was a very devoted Catholic who had a strong faith. She was a wonderful, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Heupel and her husband, Ronald Steve Heupel, Sr. of Carencro two sons, Ronald Stevie Heupel, Jr. of Washington and Corey Shane Guillory of Kentucky one soninlaw, Michael Stelly, Sr. of Houma one brother, Jimmy Quebedeaux and wife, Lena of Breaux Bridge three sisters, Peggy Alleman of Carencro Judy Jones of Port Barre and Carol Smith of Carencro 7 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric J. Guillory her daughters, Neddie Guillory Stelly and Donna Guillory Heupel and her parents, Jeanno Quebedeaux and Anna Kimble Quebedeaux Guillory.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 3 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Thursday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening in the funeral home.
