Nolan Laneaux

Cankton A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at St. John Berchman Catholic Church in Cankton, LA, for Mr. Nolan J. Laneaux. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. John Berchman Cemetery. The Reverend Father Henry Broussard will be the celebrant of the Funeral Mass.

Nolan was a resident of Sunset and passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012, at his home with his family by his side at the age of 72. He enjoyed hunting and raising hunting dogs. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Gloria Leger Laneaux of Sunset daughter, Maxine Laneaux Hinote and husband, Randy of Milton FL sons, Bryan Laneaux and wife, Tiffany of Arnaudville Troy Laneaux of Sunset sister, Anna Belle Soirez of Grand Coteau brother, Dale Laneaux of Grand Coteau 8 grandchildren, Damon, Cody, Brittany, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Daniel, Matthew, and Adrienne, and 4 great grandchildren, Taegon, Blaze, Daniel, and Adelea.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Ethel Laneaux.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012, from 9 am to 9 pm in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau. A Rosary service will be held at 6 pm on Sunday evening in the funeral home.
