Nicolas Leonard

Opelousas Funeral services for Nicolas Paul Leonard, age 29, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Msgr. Keith DeRouen will celebrate the Mass.
Nicolas was a resident of Oberlin La., he passed away on August 11, 2011 at his home. Nicolas belonged to the Tact Team at his work. He enjoyed reading and watching films. He was a graduate of Opelousas Catholic School.
He is survived by his wife, Ashley Parker Leonard, of Kinder, LA., his parents Harry L.J. and Lanette Clement Leonard, of Opelousas, his brother, Marc Leonard and wife, Paula of Coteau, LA., his sister, Celeste Leonard of Lafayette, his grandmother, Elois Leonard, Gretna, LA., also his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Nicolas will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Thelma and Otha Clement, paternal grandfather, Harry Lee Leonard.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, August 15, 2011, from 2 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and visitation will continue on Tuesday morning at 8a.m. until time of service at 9:30 a.m.
A rosary service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Monday evening in the Sibille funeral Home chapel.
