Morgan Adams

June 7, 1995 — April 6, 2012

Blessings and gifts come in many shapes and forms and ours came in the form of Morgan Elizabeth Adams on June 7, 1995. On this day, Morgan joined her parents Ben and Beth Dupre Adams and her big brother James Christian Adams. Morgan touched lives, filled hearts with happiness, and created smiles. She loved her family and she loved her friends and she loved God. Her bond with God is undeniable. Morgan embraced life in her short time on earth. She loved gymnastics and especially cheerleading so much that she had hopes of becoming a LSU cheerleader. She cherished time with her Mom shopping for prom dresses, a graduation ring, talking, and watching movies. She had a special bond with her Dad especially recently when they spent early evenings fishing in the family pond. Morgan absolutely adored her older brother Christian, who was always her protector.

Morgans extended family was at Opelousas Catholic High School where she was just starting to enjoy the rewards of finishing her junior year. She thrived in the schools Christian environment, cheered for the Vikings, excelled academically straight As, and was just asked to join the Beta Club. Her recent academic accomplishments made her realize that she could achieve her dream of becoming a dermatologist one day. Morgan also spent many happy days performing gymnastics at AJs Gym in Carencro, LA and Precision Athletics in Baton Rouge, LA.

Gods longterm journey for Morgan and her childhood friend Sara Jarrell, started on Friday, April 6th, Good Friday. On this day, the hearts of their family and friends filled with unimaginable sorrow. Morgan will continue to be a blessing to many others through the gifts of life she is providing through her donation to the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency.

Morgan is survived by her parents and brother, her maternal grandparents Paul Gus and Madeline Dupre of Opelousas, LA, paternal grandparents, Jim and Judy Adams of Opelousas, LA and Marylynn and Jack Barham of Shreveport, LA. She is also survived by Uncles and Aunts Michael and Monica Dupre of Houston, TX who are also her Godparents, Leslie Dupre of Opelousas, LA, Dennis and Terry Adams of Opelousas, LA and Lisa and Steve Hargett of Atlanta, GA.
