Monica Glasscock

Opelousas Funeral services for Ms. Monica Den Glasscock, age 50, will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.
Rev. Msgr. Keith J. DeRouen will celebrate the Mass.
Monica was a native of Opelousas and was a resident of Washington. She died on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at her home. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include two sons: Chadwick Joseph Soileau of Opelousas and Donovan Scott Soileau and fianc, Charli Andrus of Opelousas her mother, Mona Fruge Glasscock of Opelousas two sisters: Catherine Cathy Dupre and husband, Mickey of Opelousas and Elizabeth Liz Zerangue and husband, Darryl of Opelousas Three brothers, Seeman Glasscock III of Carencro Mitchell Glasscock and wife, Phyllis of Opelousas and Matthew Glasscock of Opelousas her companion, Kenneth Kenny Leger of Washington and three grandchildren, Eli Scott Soileau, Nathan Soileau, and Kirsten Soileau.
She was preceded in death by her father, Seeman George Glasscock, Jr. brother, Gary Glasscock and sisterinlaw, Donna Glasscock.
Pallbearers will be Chadwick Soileau, Donovan Soileau, Matthew Glasscock, Mickey Dupre, Darryl Zerangue, and Timmy Zerangue.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, August 8, 2010, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Monday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday evening in the funeral home.
