Miss Valentine Soileau

OpelousasFuneral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013, at Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas for Mrs. Valentine Angelle Soileau, known to many as Miss Teen. Rev. Greg Gaspard will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park of Opelousas.
Mrs. Valentine was a native of Arnaudville and longtime resident of Opelousas, LA. She passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital of Opelousas at the age of 86.
She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include one son, David Ozanne and wife, Yvonne of Opelousas three daughters, Linda Primeaux of Port Barre Lillian Soileau of Opelousas and Connie Vasseur and husband, Paul of Prairie Ronde one sister, Marie Louise Ozanne and husband, Joseph of Opelousas 4 grandchildren, and 8 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Yeager Soileau and her parents, Cleus Angelle and Elmyre Stelly Angelle.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, June 23, 2013, from 3 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Monday, visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
