Michelle Van Fleet

Opelousas– A Memorial Mass for Michelle Lynn Van Fleet will be at on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas. Monsignor Keith DeRouen will celebrate the Mass. The Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. in the church.

Michelle, age 57, a resident of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020, at her residence.

Michelle worked as a nurse in Lafayette for many years. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. Michelle also enjoyed spending time at the beach. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Lottie Lawrence Touchet of Opelousas; sons, William Van Fleet of Colorado, Joshua Elliot Johnson of Maurice; her companion, James Florence of Lafayette; brothers, Mark Touchet and wife, Allison of Austin,TX, Jered Touchet and wife, Carley of Austin, TX; sister, Jacqualine Mayeaux and husband, Stacey of Opelousas; and grandsons, Brayen Lee Johnson and Hunter Zachary Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Huey Joseph Touchet, Jr.
