Michael Race

PORT BARRE- A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held for Michael Race, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Msgr. William Curtis Mallet will celebrate the Mass.

Michael, age 62, a resident of Port Barre, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020.

Michael served his country in the United States Air Force. He loved wood working in his shop and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Vickie Barron Race of Port Barre, his son, Jonathan Race and his wife, Deborah of Port Barre, three grandchildren, Aubrey, Tucker and Lucas Race, brothers, Robert Race and his wife Pag of Lafayette Indiana, and James Race of Hermon, New York, sister, Sue Mackey and her husband, Steve of Schenectady, New York.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Authur and Audrey Race.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre.
