Michael Mcbride, Sr.

Opelousas -Funeral services for Michael "Mike" McBride, Sr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Nathan McBride Family Cemetery, in Lewisburg LA, with Rev. Fr. Michael DeBlanc will be officiating.

Michael was resident of Opelousas. He died on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at his home, at the age of 64. Michael enjoyed golfing, coaching football, and baseball, he loved to cook for his family and friends, he ran the kitchen at Vidrine's Café for many years. He is going to be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his sons, Michael McBride, Jr., and his wife, Jessie of Cary, NC., Kyle McBride of Longview, TX., Bryan McBride of Longview, TX., daughters, Kelly McBride of Longview, TX., Amie McBride Young and her husband Steve of Ocean Spring, MS., his life companion, Sherri E. Stelly and her son's, Zachary and Christian who he though of as his sons, brothers, Dr. Jim McBride and wife, Sandra of Houston, TX., and Mark McBride and wife, Ave of Carencro, La., sisters, Linda M. Kannady and husband, Don of Pearland, TX., and Gina M. Sledge of Baton Rouge, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Russell McBride and Margaret D'Amores McBride, and daughter, Angela Kay McBride.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Saturday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
