Michael Edwards

Port Barre -Funeral services for Michael J. Edwards will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Rev. Heidi Spell will officiate the services. Military Honors will follow in the funeral home.
Michael was a native of Warrington, England, and a longtime resident of Krotz Springs. He passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at his home at the age of 70. Michael was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, hanging out with all his hunting buddies at the camp. He is a member of the Lucky 13 Hunting Club, American Petroleum Institute, and the American Welding Society. Michael was employed with Jacobs Engineering as a Welding Inspector for 21 years until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Susie Grimmett Guillory Edwards of Krotz Springs; children, Eddie Guillory and his wife, Tammy of Port Barre; and Thomas Edwards of Krotz Springs; grandchildren, Megan Guillory Stelly and her husband, Shane; Chaz Guillory and Koy Guillory, all of Port Barre; great grandchildren, Caleb Stelly and Noah Guillory, both of Port Barre; and brothers, John Edwards and his wife, Candy; and David Edwards and his wife, Rhonda.
He was preceded in death by parents, Carl Edwards and Nora Warburton Edwards.
The family requests that visitation be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre.
