Michael Shane Babineaux

Port Barre- Funeral services for Michael Shane Babineaux, age 39, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2009, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Rev. Benny Reppond will conduct the service.

Shane was born in Opelousas, and was a long time resident of Port Barre. He died on September 30, 2009, at his home.

Shane was a House Painter by trade and he was disable for six years. Shane enjoyed spending time with his family and friends also loved to fish.

Mourning his death yet cherishing his memories is his wife of twenty years, Shirley J. Babineaux, of Port Barre, two sons: Justin Babineaux of Port Barre, and Ryan Dennis Babineaux, his parents: Paul and Bonnie Roy Babineaux of Port Barre, his grand-mother Bernice Roy of Port Barre, three brothers: Keith Babineaux and significant other, Marcy Rami of Maurice, Paul Doddie Babineaux and wife Lisa of Lawtell, and Jami Babineaux of Port Barre, mother-in-law and father-in-law Dennis and Fauzia Johnson, of Carencro, brother-in-law Sherief Johnson, of Waller, TX. He is also survived by twelve neices and nephews, and also two great nephews, Shane will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his, grand -father Rayfield Roy, his grand-mother Audrey Orgeron, and his grand-father Edmond Babineaux.

Pallbearers will be Jami Babineaux, Keith Babineaux, Doddie Babineaux, Josh Babineaux, Colby Babineaux and Ledo Pitre.
P Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre on Thursday, October 1, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. and will be open all night until time
