Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Mervin Faul, 73, will be held at 10: 00 AM on Saturday, September 8, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park. The Reverend Roy Baker will officiate the services.

Mervin Faul, a native of Cankton and resident of Opelousas, died at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Faul of Mansura; daughter, Romona Michel of Mansura; three sisters, Clarice Thibodeaux of Baton Rouge, Doris Thibodeaux of Baton Rouge, and Hilda Miller of Lawtell; four grandchildren, Jason and Justin Faul and Crystal and Lauren Michel.

Mr. Faul was preceded in death by his parents Melon and Evanne Venable Faul.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, September 7, 2007, from 4:00a.m. -9:00p.m. and will re-open at 8:00am on Saturday until service time.
