May Deville

OPELOUSAS- A Mass of Christian burial for May Deville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Fr. Austin Leger will conduct the service. Rite of Committal will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Prairie Ronde.

May, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at her home in Opelousas. She was employed with DCG Insurance and St. Landry Parish School Board until her retirement. May enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and friends. She always had a big hug for each one of them. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by loving Husband of 51 years, Mr. Raphael Deville, her loving children, Danielle Deville and her fiancé Bryan Fontenot, Simone Aucoin and husband, Ray all of Prairie Ronde, brother, Alcide Dupre, Jr. and his wife, Vickie of Lake Charles, grandchildren, Phillip Pitre, Pierce Pitre, Gabby Pitre, Kameron Aucoin, and Grayce Aucoin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alcide and Bernia Dupre, and her brother, James "Little Jimmy" Dupre.

The family requests visitation be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Friday, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
