Mary Joyce Taylor

Opelousas Funeral services for Mary Joyce Taylor, age 76, will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. with a service in the funeral home chapel. Father Austin Leger will conduct the service, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park.
Joyce was a native of Port Barre and a longtime resident of Opelousas. She passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, November 2, 2011. She was a past coowner of Taylors Texaco Station in Opelousas. She enjoyed raising her animals, but most of all she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She loved spending as much time as she could with her family. Joyce was a very wonderful and loving person. She will be sadly missed by all her loved ones.

She is survived by her loving children John Taylor and wife, Marie of Leonville, Ronnie Taylor and wife, Brenda of Opelousas, David Taylor and wife, Mona of Opelousas, Mark Taylor of Opelousas, Adolph Taylor Jr. of Opelousas, and Brenda Taylor of Opelousas, tweleve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brothers Louis Stelly and Geraldine of Opelousas, Jim Stelly and Virginia of Opelousas, Robert Stelly of Texas City, TX., and Dennis Stelly and wife, Elsie of Opelousas, sisters Gurcie Vidrine of Ville Platte, and Eva Arnaud and husband Ronald of Marrero, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dona Dieu and Ida LeJuene Stelly her husband, Adolph Taylor Sr., one grandson Michael Taylor, two brothers Percy and Jessie Buck Stelly

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, November 4, 2011, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Saturday, visitation will continue in the Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until1 10:30 a.m. .
Rosary will be recited on Friday evening at 7:00 in the Funeral Home Chapel.
