Mary Sloane

Mary Connolly Sloane Babe, 86, of Lafayette, La., passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette. She was a resident of Bethany Healthcare Center.
Born January 21, 1927 in Woodville, MS, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Mike Connolly and Belle Ardoin Connolly. Mary attended the Academy of the Immaculate Conception, where she graduated in 1946. She was a very generous lady with a big heart, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her four sons: Bernie Sloane Beth, of Opelousas, La., Michael Sloane, Kathy of Patterson, La., Roger Sloane Grace of Cecilia, La. and, Brent Sloane Karen of Opelousas, La. two daughters, Lisa Miller Drew of Eunice, La., Susan Boudreaux of Lafayette, La. eleven grandchildren, Shane Sloane Jolynn, Cyrus SloaneJoannie, Joey Sloane Alanna, Nathan Sloane, Somer Sloane, Blake Sloane Cherie, Laci Sloane Meeks Rick, Derek Boudreaux Jaye, Brock Boudreaux, Nicholas Boudreaux, and Kelly Miller Banks Mike 15 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents her infant son, Jackson Sloane her former husband, Frank Fritz Sloane two grandsons, John Doucet and Ryan Doucet.

In fulfilment of her wishes, a private graveside service was held Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Bellevue Memorial Park, with the Rev. Thomas Finley officiating.
