Mary Elizabeth Liz Sebastien Potier

Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Liz Sebastien Potier, 55, will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 9, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. Father Bill Melancon and Bro. Woody Gunnils will officiate the services.

Mrs. Potier was a native of Opelosuas and a resident of Eunice and died on Sunday, August 5, 2007, at Lafayette General Medical Center as a result of a motorcycle accident. She was a retired nurse after many years of service. She was the owner of a Bed and Breakfast and a past co-owner of a Drug Store in Eunice. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Potier of Eunice; her parents: J. L. Sebastien and Alice June Reed Sebastien of Opelousas; one daughter, Andrea Elizabeth Miller and husband, Andrew of Carencro; one son, Christopher Keith Daigle and wife, Bethany of Lafayette; two step sons: Will Potier and wife, Caroline of Lafayette; and Kevin Potier and wife, Jill of Wichita, KS; one sister, Karen Tweedel and husband, Rodney of Church Point; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren: Zachary, Victoria, Ethan and Beverly.

Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from 4-9 PM in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Thursday, the visitation will continue at 8 AM until service time.

A rosary will be recited at 7 PM on Wednesday in the funeral home.
